Southern hospitality at it's best and the greatest fried catfish ever !!. My family and I found this place last year after talking to a local and boy, are we glad we did. I couldnt wait to go down there again to enjoy the delicious fried catfish and chicken. We just recently returned to beautiful South Carolina and visited Big E's again and the food was just as great as the first time. Between the wonderful waitress who took care of us with a smile and the friendlyness of Mrs. Big E herself Betty , we truely found southern hospitality here. We had a party of 6 with us and sampled a few different dishes : fried catfish, fried chicken, deviled crab, clam strips and the most delicious hush puppies that just melted in your mouth. If your a good eater you will really appreciate the portions. The small order of friend chicken consist of 4 pieces of friend chicken, cole slaw, french fries or baked potato , and hush puppies for about $7.00 - excellent value and excellent price ! The only problem I have now is i have to wait a whole nother year to to eat there again.
