In a word "Horrible". I spent two nights at the Patricia Grand Resort. To say that I was disappointed would be a gross under statement. The photos of the "resort" on the Oceana website were down right misleading and to quote their brochure "Newly renovated suites, rooms, and efficiencies" is a blatant lie! When I called and tried to book the sister property the Camelot I was told that the Camelot was sold out but a similar property the Patricia Grand was available. I went to the Oceana Resort website and looked at the photos and the brochure and felt confident about booking the room.

When entered the lobby of the property I felt as though I had been shot in chest! The lobby did not even remotely resemble the photo on the website. There were people huddled all over the lobby it was like an evacuation was taking place from a third world country! Then I went to check-in and was told that my king non-smoking room which I paid for in advance was not guaranteed. I was forced to accept a smoking room or venture off into Myrtle Beach on Fourth of July weekend and try to find another option. It gets even better. I asked what the hours of the restaurant were so that I could make a reservation. Sorry no restaurant it?s closed for renovation. No surprise! Then some of the elevators weren?t working.

This could actually be a script for a comedy. In fact, I recommend that they advertise that they have a comedy club at the property. When guests check-in and ask where club is located the front desk can tell them it?s right here at the front desk and the joke is on you! At a certain point all you can do is laugh about it.
